Now imports Outlook contacts, adds auto backups
OfficeTime.net has updated its OfficeTime time-tracking software for Mac and Windows, as well as launched a version of the app for iOS devices. The new version of the desktop app improves speed and file opening, can optionally import contacts from Outlook (in the Windows version of OfficeTime) and now does automatic hourly, daily, weekly and monthly backups. The iOS version works with iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone comes in a regular and free edition.

IGG shows iBiz 4 upgrade
IGG Software today announced iBiz 4, a full-version upgrade to its application for time-tracking, billing and project management as well as the upcoming release of iBank Mobile, a native iPhone application designed to complement iBank 3, its personal finance application. iBiz 4, due in the first quarter of this year, offers new animated graphs (powered by core animation) and a completely new iCal sync engine for projects, events, to-do lists, invoice due dates with alarms, and other timeline-driven aspects of project or billing management. Version 4 also features new Statements to generate an overview of all past billing activity -- users can select to generate invoices and payments from a specific date range, or select specific items to include in statements. iBiz 4 also adds new templates for statements, invoices and reports.

Time tracker app available
Bjango has released Jobs 1.0, a time-tracking iPhone app. It tracks time spent on projects, calling them jobs, and supports tracking multiple jobs at one time. Each job tracks time at an hourly rate, supports client associations and gives total time readouts. As clients are added Jobs remembers them as iPhone contacts, for easy recall of previously entered information with regular clients.
