Sony on Thursday unveiled the HT-IS100 Bravia Theatre Micro System, consisting of five miniscule speakers that the company claims are roughly the size of a golf ball. The system comes with three 1080p inputs with repeater functionality, with support for eight channels of audio, with the ability to add optional wireless rear surround speakers, which are automatically configurable. HP today unveiled four new desktop computers that it will be showing at CES 2008, three of which are designed primarily for home theatre owners while one is ideal for digital photo enthusiasts. The Pavilion Slimline s3330f uses a smaller tower chassis that is a third the size of a conventional PC. While small, the s3330f upgrades to an AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core 5400+; the option of a dual-format Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player allows users to view high definition movie content, and connects with home theatre systems through an HDMI connector.
