Soundmatters' wireless, 'pocketable' speaker DASH7 now available

Audio accessory maker Soundmatters has announced the availability of its wireless pocket-portable speaker, the Dash7. The new Daah7 is three-quarters of an inch thick, and offers omnidirectional sound in a size that fits in a slim bag or pocket. Featuring extended Bluetooth range, the Dash7 can also be used as a noise-cancelling speakerphone. Available in red, white and black, it can be purchase for $250 through various online retailers, and the Soundmatters website.

New Bluetooth speaker measures less than 1-inch thick

Soundmatters has released its new Dash7 Bluetooth speaker, which is focused on portability. The wireless speaker is available in three colors, and measures only three quarters of an inch in thickness. Featuring two wide-frequency drivers, the Dash7 boasts up to 12 hours of playback thanks to its "BassBattery" that doubles as a passive subwoofer. Also featuring speakerphone functionality, the diminutive device includes a noise-cancelling microphone to reduce ambient noise during a call. The Dash7 is available immediately for $219, which includes a carrying case that doubles as a kickstand.

Bluetooth soundbar size reduced 40-percent from predecessor

Soundmatters has unveiled two speaker systems it is shipping in the near future, both of which focus on the mobile device market. The foxL Duet combines a subwoofer and a pocketable speaker into a single package, while the foxL Dash 7 is a portable Bluetooth soundbar with a low profile that can also be used as a speakerphone.

Soundmatters recently unveiled the newest addition to its SLIMstage series of all-in-one speaker systems, the SLIMstage40. The speaker features eight internal amplifiers to achieve its 170W power rating, and uses imaging to provide a listening experience to mimic a 5.1-speaker set-up. As everything down to the control unit and remote control is part of the 3.3-inch high unit, which houses 13 separate drivers, there is no need for an additional A/V receiver. A subwoofer is also optional, but not required, according to Soundmatters.
