Facebook image warns readers away from slow S III downloads
Motorola has attacked the Samsung Galaxy S III in a campaign to advertise the Droid RAZR HD. Updates to the company's website as well as its Facebook page compare the RAZR's various features against the Samsung smartphone, including comparisons of the build quality, speed and battery life between the two handsets.
Update brings Google Now, Voice Search, Project Butter
As promised late last week, Motorola has begun rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its Droid Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD. Owners of the two Motorola handsets should begin receiving notifications of the availability of an over-the-air update either today or over the next few days, as Verizon is making the upgrade available in phases. Users can check for upgrade availability by visiting the System Updates tab under the About Phone settings option.
New Razrs sport bigger screens, bigger batteries
Verizon announced today that Motorola's Droid Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD will be available on its network beginning October 18. The two new smartphones -- unveiled by Motorola last month -- sport larger screens than the Razr M, also available on Verizon. In addition to larger screens, the two new Razrs pack in bigger batteries, allowing for much more time between charges.
HD Maxx variant adds larger battery
Motorola today unveiled the latest additions to its Droid Razr family, including the Razr HD, Razr HD Maxx, and Razr M. The HD editions both jump from their predecessors' 4.3-inch 540x960 Super AMOLED Advanced panel to a larger 4.7-inch display with 1280x720 HD resolution, though a shrinking bezel enables the larger screen to fit in a housing of similar volume. Keeping to the family heritage, all models are built with woven Kevlar and water-resistant nano-coatings.
Motorola will unveil mystery 4G LTE handset on Facebook this Friday
Motorola has started a Guess the Smartphone game on its Facebook page. The first picture shared online is simply a big question mark, though the company promises to reveal more details on the handset every day this week, with the final and complete reveal coming on Friday. Thus far, the only hint Motorola supplied is that the handset has 4G LTE support.
