Enfocus updates Pitstop suite of products to v10

Adds new Workgroup Manager product to the mix

Enfocus have updated their entire family of PDF preflight and editing software to version 10, and introduced a new tool to enable management of Pitstop Pro among multiple users. The new application, PitStop Workgroup Manager, works with floating licenses of Pitstop Pro to share preflight profiles, action lists, workspaces and more from a single point.

Callas software has released pdfToolbox 4 and pdfToolbox Server 4, the latest version of its PDF preflighting and automated correction tools. The updates are fully compliant with the latest Ghent PDF Workgroup standards. The server version can be used for fully-automated PDF correction, page manipulation, presentation preparation or imposition. The standard Adobe Acrobat plug-in version features enhanced metadata functionality, allowing the embedded information to be exported for creating custom reports in XML or tab delimited formats.

Enfocus has launched a new PDF editor, PitStop Extreme. The software allows for checking and correcting PDF files, handling even complex files, has a preflighting engine built in and carries Certified PDF technology for error prevention. PitStop Extreme edits similarly to a text editor; it allows for reworking characters, words or paragraphs of text and ensures that the data seen on-screen is the final PDF output. Beyond text, the software has object-editing tools for handling images and other visuals. Its preflight engine supports numerous PDF profiles, including CMYK v3.0, Generic Press v3.0, PDF to Web v3.0, PDF/X-3:2003 v5.0 Verify and others.

Enfocus today unveiled several updates to PitStop Server, Instant Barcode, and Instant PDF, bringing a number of new features and enhancements. PitStop Server 4.5 now features a completely reworked user interface, due to popular demand, giving users easy access to hot folder setups, files in process, and the comprehensive history log. Using powerful control methods, users can process entire folder in either a hierarchical or flattened fashion. New users can purchase PitStop Server 4.5 for 2500 Euros (~$3700 USD).
