As the dust from the HD DVD/Blu-ray war settles, Toshiba is allegedly not adopting the victorious Blu-ray standard, but instead is expected to pursue DVD up-sampling and Internet-enabled players. TG Daily writes that Toshiba has not released specific plans or future machine specifications, but believes that the players would be based around its SpursEngine 1000 processor for upsampling – a 'lite' version of the Cell BE CPU. O2 will offer the 3G iPhone as a Pay & Go option – the 8GB device available for £300, the 16GB for £400 – and will include six months of unlimited on-device browsing. Unlimited browsing after the initial six months costs an additional £10 per month, while using the O2's standard Pay & Go plans. Users will be able to "top up" their account with rates varying from £10 to £30, with each tier offering anywhere between 500 to unlimited minutes, and 300 to unlimited in-country text messages.
