It shouldn't be a secret that normal, cheap-knit gloves actually don't contain enough fabric to prevent a person's finger from interacting with a capacitive screen on a smartphone. This means that, yes, normal-knit gloves are technically touchscreen gloves, but normal cheap-knit gloves also don't contain enough fabric to keep a person's hands warm in most cold weather. That's where Refined Touchscreen Gloves by Mujjo come in -- promising to let us interact with all our touchscreen devices, while keeping our hands toasty.
Last week we took a look at the new Mujjo Slim Fit iPad Air Sleeve from the Dutch company's 'Understated' collection and were impressed by the quality and craftsmanship on offer. This week we take a look at Mujjo's new 13-inch MacBook Air & Pro Retina Sleeve from its 'Low-Key' collection of fine Apple-focused accessories. Mujjo primarily uses two materials in its products, high-quality leather and felt. While the Slim Fit iPad Air Sleeve is made completely from vegetable-tanned leather, the MacBook Sleeve uses a mix of leather and felt in its construction providing both durability and a touch of class.
MacNN has had the opportunity to go hands-on with Mujjo's new Slim Fit iPad Air Sleeve, one of its new line of 'Understated' products in tan leather. We have previously had the opportunity to go hands-on with Mujjo' s iPhone 5/5s wallet, and were impressed by the Dutch company's tasteful and elegant designs. Unlike many of its competitors, Mujjo has opted for natural and organic materials, including leather, felt and wool that provide a gorgeous contrast with Apple's industrial aluminum and glass designs, in particular.
Tech accessory producer, Mujjo, has announced the release of its two new sleeve collections -- Low-key and Understated -- for iPhone 5s, iPad mini and iPad Air. Composed of vegetable-tanned leather, the Low-key collection features a matte black finish, and the Understated collection a tan color. The sleeves' leather is treated with aniline oil for color enrichment, and the vegetable tanning process creates a dense and compact product. Both collections feature a combination of leather and felt, each with an angle-cut exterior pocket for additional items.
Mujjo has introduced Leather Touchscreen Gloves that make them ideal for navigating touchscreen devices. In order to get the leather gloves to work properly on touchscreens, Mujjo has treated the leather gloves with a nanotechnology that allows the gloves to mimic the conductive properties of human skin. The Ethiopian lambskin leather has also been treated so that it is wind and waterproof, while the inside incorporates a soft wool lining.
Dutch boutique accessory maker has an extensive range of Apple accessories that feature either premium leather or a combination of leather with wool felt, all hand-crafted. The Mujjo iPhone 5 wallet comes in two versions, one which uses a combination of light and dark gray wool felt combined with a disctinctive tanned leather strap, or a light gray wool felt version coupled with a white leather strap. MacNN has had the opportunity to spend some time using the former, living with it for the past week.
Dutch accessory maker Mujjo has launched its new AW 12-13 touchscreen gloves collection. The new touchscreen gloves line improves on the original in their insulation properties, aesthetics and fit. “We've tested miles of yarn to come up with improved anti-pilling properties and literally spent hour’s texting in an icebox. The result is an optimized balance of insulation, conductivity and elasticity,” Mujjo founder Tom Canters told Electronista.
Accessory maker Qnap is showing a prototype of a four-bay Thunderbolt JBOD drive case at Taiwan's Computex trade show. The JTB-400 is capable of holding either 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives. No hardware RAID controller is installed, and the SATA bridgeboard is controlled with a Marvell controller. Pricing has yet to be announced for the rollout of the chassis, expected in the third quarter.
