IGG Software today announced iBank 4, a major upgrade of its Mac money management software. The software allows users to monitor account balances, track investments, maintain budgets and manage credit cards. It can also generate reports for further financial analysis and can reconcile paper statements. iBank can manage checking accounts and savings accounts, as well as 401K accounts, lines of credit, money market accounts and loans. It can create and manage multiple budgets.
Pear Note 1.3 ($40) is a note taking application that can record audio and video while a user is taking notes. All activities during a session are recorded including audio, video, user actions, keystrokes and slide changes, which are then placed on a timeline which can be replayed. Version 1.3 includes a new Quick List feature that can be used to quickly add lists and outlines to Pear Note Documents. IconBurglar 1.1 ($10) can be used to extract icon files from any application, file, or folder. The software includes drag and drop support allowing users to grab icon images by dragging files to the application's main window. IconBurglar includes support for saving images in different resolutions and file types. EasyMoney 1.4 ($20) helps users manage money in either a home or small business scenario. Users can set up multiple account books and expense/income accounts and then add transactions. This allows users to track where money is being spent and this can be compared to a budget that has been set. The latest release has simply reinstalled the User's Guide. [Download - 4.3MB]
Money 3.2 ($39) is a tool for helping people manage their personal finances. The software also includes enough features that a small-business could use the software for their own accounting needs. The update has added a new grid view which provides a list of icons representing categories. The update has also introduced new interfaces for both the Portfolio and Sheets features looking to make their usage more manageable. Other changes include improved csv import, improved search, improved French and German localizations, fixed problem with reports date ranges, fixed problem with taxes, new Uncategorized icon, other minor improvements and bug fixes. Software developer iwascoding has released GaragePay 1.1, an update to its PayPal transaction manager. The new update adds configurable CSV export, shopping cart item display and export and Address Book export. It also adds support for user notes in each transaction. GaragePay's CSV export is fully configurable, with field dividers such as tabs and semicolons for applications requiring them. Version 1.1 also now fetches cart items in addition to transactions from PayPal accounts and adds a notes field to each item for users to annotate with any text needed. Name and address data can now be culled from PayPal transactions in v1.1 and exported to the proper fields within Address Book. The software costs $25 and requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and a PayPal account.
