February 1 - 6:50pm EST   Synium Software has introduced CleanApp 3, a new version of the uninstaller and system management tool, as a public beta. The tool allows you to delete cache files, applications and other items wasting drive space. The new release is fully compatible with Leopard and features a completely redesigned graphical user interface. The logging service has been rewritten for maximum performance and the app now leverages launchd. January 3 - 4:25pm EST   Pharos Science and Applications today announced a new geologging hardware product called Pharos Trips and Pics, which is designed to interface with any digital camera. Trips and Pics allows users to do a photo catalogue of their travels for personal or professional purposes. By using the iGPS-500 receiver with a pocket battery unit, users can upload the post-trip data to their computers through USB, where Trips and Pics presents a step-by-step set of download instructions.
