Shades for iPhone nano 5G, PRIE Ambassador Smart
ShadesCases and TuneWear have both announced new protective cases for their lines of iPhone and iPod accessories. The new Shades case, developed by ShadesCases, is designed for the iPod nano 5G. It covers the entire iPod nano, including the screen and click-wheel, with a hard plastic layer that guards against bumps and scratches, while leaving the camera lens open. Shades comes in 10 different colors including clear, black, blue, red and orange.

Marware has launched three new iPod-based cases, the SportShell Convertible carrying solution for the iPod nano 5G and the EcoSleeve for the iPod nano 5G, alongside the MicroShell for iPod touch 2G. The SportShell for the Nano is an armband case, clip case and pocket case combination. It has a quick-release armband and the case can be switched from belt-clip to no belt clip. It is $35.
iSkin Vibes, iSkin Duoband, iSkin nano Duo
iSkin has launched several new products for its line of iPod nano 5G accessories, the iSkin nano Duo, iSkin Vibes, and iSkin DuoBand. iSkin nano Duo is a hard plastic case, available in clear and black colors, that protects the iPod nano from bumps, scrapes and scratches. The case integrates a shock-absorbing silicone BodyGuard, a removable revoClip that can rotate 90-degrees in either direction, and a small port plug for protecting the iPod's charging port.
Cubes iPod nano 5G case, Accent for iPhone 3G
SwitchEasy and Marware have released new protective cases for the iPhone 3G and 3GS, as well as Apple’s latest iPod nano 5G. Cubes by SwitchEasy features a duotone silicone design somewhat resembling a checker-board style, and offers tears resistant material that protects against scratches, scrapes or bumps. It is made for the iPod nano 5G and comes with additional guards to help protect the devices click-wheel, screen, and 30-pin connector. Cubes is currently available in Black, Red, Blue, Pink, and Yellow colors.
New iPod nano 5G silicone, hard-cases
Agent18 and GizFever.com have announced new cases for Apple’s latest iPod nano 5G. The new models by Agent18 include the NanoShield and ForceShield, which deliver protection against bumps and scratches and shield against dirt, dust and debris. NanoShield features a hard plastic case with a click-together design, and provides access to all ports, switches and functions. With ForceShield users get the same button and port freedom while the iPod nano is inside the silicon shock-absorbing casing.
New iPod nano 5G cases from Griffin, USBfever
Griffin Technology and USBfever have both announced new cases for Apple’s latest iPod nano 5G. Griffin’s newest designs are the Outfit hard-shell polycarbonate case and the FlexGrip silicone case. Both cases are made to help protect the iPod nano from bumps and scratches during everyday use, and allow for full access of the devices scroll wheel, controls, connectors and screen. Outfit also keeps the iPod nano’s new camera lens free for use and features an EasyDock design, which enables users to simply slide off the bottom half of the case when docking.

Scosche, Griffin Technologies, and Belkin have all announced new and revised cases for Apple’s latest fifth-generation (5G) iPod nano. The kickBACK hard-case with integrated rubber siding is developed by Scosche, and offers shock resistant protection and a hinged kickstand for widescreen viewing. It also includes an opening for the iPod nano’s video camera, and comes with built-in traction nubs for improved grip on flat surfaces. Originally released in October of 2008 for the iPhone 3G, the new version can also be purchased from the company’s online store and is currently priced at $24.
iPod nano 5G VoiceOver-compatible adapter
Griffin Technology has announced a new VoiceOver-compatible adapter for Apple’s latest iPod nano 5G and iPod shuffle 3G. The Headphone Control Adapter with VoiceOver support connects to the user’s headphones, enabling them to listen to spoken information such as the artist, track or playlist. The adapter works as an inline remote-control and can be used to control playback with any iPod model that supports transport controls, including the new iPod touch or iPod classic.
