Marathon for iPad; KOF for iPhone and iPod Touch
Veteran Macintosh gamers or those who enjoy the retro-gaming experience got a double-shot of good news as a free version of Bungie's 1994 classic Marathon was released for the iPad, while Japanese game-maker SNK unveiled the latest instalment of the King of Fighters series, King of Fighters-i for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Both games began in 1994, and faithfully re-create the original experience, while offering optional enhancements.

Remote PS3 gaming on iOS devices shown off
Pandaelf's everyAir app ($4.99, App Store) for iOS devices will soon allow gamers to take their PS3 games mobile. The current app lets users remotely control their Mac or Windows PCs from an iPhone, iPod or iPad. In the video demo, control of the PS3 is done via drawing symbols on the touchscreen that correspond to the PS3's buttons.

Showcases best games, best graphics
NVIDIA has introduced the NVIDIA Tegra Zone app on the Android Market. The aim of the app is to highlight apps that NVIDIA has singled out as best making use of the Tegra hardware platform. The app showcases the best gaming apps by giving users access to reviews, high-resolution screen shots, HD trailers including in gaming action. Bonus behind-the-scenes footage is also featured.

Real Racing for iPhone
Firemint has released a new racing game for the iPhone and iPod touch, Real Racing. The title features five different modes, 36 cars in three classes, and a dozen tracks that take players through forests, deserts and seaside circuits. During a race players can choose between in-car or external views, and either manual or automatic acceleration and braking. The game's soundtrack consists of 10 tracks licensed from indie artists.
