T-Mobile UK intros HSUPA for mobile uploading

July 1 - 4:00pm EDT   T-Mobile UK is set to allow access to an HSUPA data network today that will let users upload content to the Internet via their cellular phones, becoming the UK's first wireless provider to do so across the country. HSUPA, or High Speed Uplink Packet Access, is the equivalent of the commonly-available HSDPA 3G data network except for its uploading abilities. [full story]

NXP announces "world's fastest" 4G mobile modem

June 12 - 4:40pm EDT   NXP Semiconductors today announced it's set to launch the world's first 4G mobile modem, called the Nexperia Cellular System Solution PNX6910. The modem uses soft architecture to achieve claimed download speeds of 150Mbps and 50Mbps upload speeds. When it launches, it will be capable of supporting the LTE, HSPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and GSM networks in mobile data devices, says NXP. [full story]
