Axon Logic is finally ready to take pre-orders for its Haptic tablet designed for 'hackintosh' Mac OS X installation. Although the company officially warns against installing Mac OS X due to licensing restrictions, the tablet is said to be specifically built for compatibility with any Darwin-based operating systems such as Apple's latest Snow Leopard release and earlier versions of Mac OS X.

Founder denies tech was taken from osx86project
Psystar co-founders and brothers Rudy Kendall and Robert Kendall have shed light on the beginnings of their company, including a claim they cracked Mac OS X on their own, according to an interview with Miami New Times. After growing up in a family that could not afford the early Macs, Robert set out to learn how to run Apple's operating system on cheaper computers.

New Psystar Mac clones
Psystar has issued a defiant announcement regarding its Mac clones, claiming an advantage over Apple's own computers. The company says it is now shipping Mac OS X-ready PCs with both Blu-ray drives and GeForce 9800GT video cards, neither of which are available as an option on any official Macs. Psystar is particularly critical of Apple CEO Steve Jobs' comments during the recent MacBook launch, which described the Blu-ray format as "a bag of hurt."
