Wearing an iPod while exercising -- particularly outdoors -- can expose the player to unwanted moisture, either due to weather or simply sweat. H2O Audio has introduced an armband called the Amphibx Fit for Nano designed for the sixth-generation iPod Nano that also works with the Shuffle and other small MP3 players that is waterproof, sweatproof and weatherproof, but is still very lightweight.
Fresh on the heels of the new iPhone 4 launch, Belikin and LaptopTailors have already announced cases to fit the new design. Belkin has introduced twelve cases, four armbands and three overlays for the iPhone 4. The company's Grip cases focus on silicone construction with textured designs for improved grip. The Grip Ergo comes in black or clear, each with ribbed etching. Customers can also add a removable wrist strap available in blue, black and clear colors.
DLO has announced its Action Jacket armband for the 3rd generation iPod shuffle. Designed for use while working out, the iPod accessory helps keep the device attached to the person’s arm. Featuring moisture-resistant neoprene to protect the iPod from sweat, the Action Jacket comes complete with a built-in pocket and outer panel. The outer panel can be used to clip the iPod to so users can place other objects in the pocket, such as a key or money. Each armband is completely washable and sized to fit most arms.
Grantwood has announced the release of tuneband for iPod nano, an armband product designed to comfortably secure the iPod nano in place during exercise, including Nike+iPod compatibility. The product consists of a comfortable and flexible armband strap that can accommodate both large and small arms, a durable silicone skin that allows access to all ports on the iPod nano, and a low-tack, cut-and-peel screen protector that helps guard against smudges, moisture, and daily wear-and-tear. The tuneband is compatible with all generations of the iPod nano, and the current 3rd generation model has skins available in eight colors: black, gray, navy blue, neon green, pink, purple, red, and teal blue. The tuneband for previous iPod nano models has skins available in black only. The tuneband retails for $15.
