Ports may not include third-party titles
Microsoft is reportedly considering porting many Zune HD apps over to the Windows Phone platform. In a Zune Insider podcast, Zune senior business development manager Dave McLauchlan suggests the company is mulling the idea of reworking its internally-developed Zune HD titles for compatibility with the range of WP7 smartphones.

Zune HD gets XNA games development software
Microsoft today released its XNA Game Studio 3.1 Zune Extensions for its recently launched Zune HD. The add-on for XNA Game Studio 3.1 allows for the development of software applications for the device, an example of which can be seen in a video below. It also brings new Touch and Accelerometer APIs to the Zune HD's XNA Framework.

Zune HD to get more colors
Microsoft has revealed in a mass e-mail that the Zune HD, which was recently introduced formally and priced, will be available in blue, green, red, platinum and black, as well as 10 designs, once the device starts shipping on September 15th. The new colors cannot be pre-ordered, and, just like the standard device, will not be a flat color but an anodized metallic one.
