Syncro Soft releases Oxygen XML Editor 9.3

Syncro Soft has updated Oxygen XML Editor (and Oxygen XML Author) to version 9.3. The update's main feature is archive-editing support. Users can extract, validate, edit and process the XML data in OpenDocument files and other ZIP-based archives. The software also supports transformations using XSLT 1.0, XSLT 2.0 and XQuery on files inside ZIP-based archives and users can compare and merge archived files. It works with OOXML, ODF, JAR and other zip-based archives. Oxygen XML Editor and XML Author are cross-platform, working on Windows, Linux/Unix and Eclipse, in addition to the Mac platform. Oxygen XML Editor costs $300 for a professional license while XML Author costs $180. There are also enterprise and education licenses and a 30-day trial is available.

WebScripter 2.0: PHP, CSS tool released

WebScripter 2.0

The Alchemist Guild has announced the release of WebScripter 2.0, a new release of the integrated development environment (IDE) for programming in several popular web scripting languages such as:  PERL, PHP, CSS, HTML/XML, JavaScript and Ruby. The tool offers features including: text editing, previewing web pages, testing scripts, managing projects, navigating code and FTP integration. The developer says that in this release, the original concept was scrapped and redesigned from the ground up with a modern OS X GUI using tabs for editing and split views for integrating features into a single window. The new design is "compact, concise and helps to keep the user in close contact with the experience. WebScripter 2.0 is priced at $40.

Syncro Soft has released the v9.2 update to Oxygen XML Editor, a cross-platform, WYSIWYG XML toolset, which provides a variety of services including XQuery debugging. It is available solo, or as an Eclipse IDE plug-in. The new version of the software improves DITA support, with a new DITA maps manager, and a toolchain for generating DITA output in formats including HTML, XHTML and PDF. The newest DITA Open Toolkit is integrated through normal transformation scenarios support.

Incubator 2.4 adds Leopard compatibility, more

Incubator 2.4 for Leopard

Austin-based Mindcad today unveiled Incubator 2.4, an update to its outlining and brainstorming program designed for visual thinkers. The new version brings with it Leopard compatibility, and the ability to import and export FreeMind maps. In addition to supporting the new XML-based format, users can also upload or download shared maps from MindMeister. Incubator is available in English, German, and French languages, and sells for $50 from Mindcad's website.
