Entry-leve AIO geared for small businesses

Lenovo on Monday introduced the ThinkCentre A70z, an all-in-one system geared for small- and medium-size businesses. The systems offer a choice between Intel Core2 Duo or Celeron Dual Core processors, with hard-drive options reaching up to 500GB. A DVD drive, webcam, integrated speakers, and optional Wi-Fi components round out the specs.

Lenovo on Wednesday afternoon said it would reorganize itself into major divisions in a bid to improve its focus. At the highest level, the company plans to create a group that handles "mature" markets, such as Japan and North America, as well as a second group that handles "emerging" markets like Lenovo's native China as well as Africa, the Middle East and other areas where PCs are less widespread. Previously, Lenovo had organized itself into much smaller groups based on continents.

Lenovo adds two entry-level ThinkCentre desktop PCs Lenovo on Tuesday announced that, in light of the recent economic downturn, it began offering two new, smaller, lower cost business PCs in its ThinkCentre line. To this effect, the A58 will be re-tooled and is meant for small to medium business users, while Lenovo believes the refreshed M58e will appeal to mid and large companies with its low energy consumption. Both feature low purchase prices as well as the long-term costs of maintenance and management. To this end, Lenovo includes a Rescue and Recovery tool to help recover and restore files independently of what Windows itself offers.

Lenovo intros ThinkCentre M58/M58p PCs

New Lenovo ThinkCentre PCs

Lenovo on Wednesday announced the launch of its M58 and M58p desktop PCs from the ThinkCentre series which, the company claims, are its most secure and manageable ThinkCentre desktops to date. Both include ThinkVantage's Power Manager technology that allows users and system administrators to monitor or control the power consumption of the new PCs remotely by setting up daily or weekly shut-down times, especially when configured in a fleet. Available processors for either desktop will include the Intel E8000-series Core 2 Duos and Q9000-series Core 2 Quads, while the M58 will come with an Intel Q45 mainboard.
