Google Glass companion app includes 'Eye Gestures' functions
Google may allow for users of Glass to use their eyes to control the headset. A user by the name of fodawim on Reddit found eye options hidden in the code of the companion app for Android, specifically functions for winking. Of the five, two related to wink calibration, two turned the function on and off, and one last seems to allow a wink to trigger a photo from its 5-megapixel camera. Other eye-related controls have yet to be found, though the company has patented a number of different control systems that could potentially be used with Glass.

Sources suggest Xbox-centric tablet to have custom ARM processor

iOS SmartGlass app still unavailable
Microsoft has released an Android version of its SmartGlass app for interacting with the Xbox 360 console. The new app is available as a free download in the Google Play Store. It allows users to control their Xbox 360 consoles with an Android device, as well as to access additional content on games, music, and video content. An iOS version of the app has not yet been released, though Microsoft has assured iOS device owners that a version would be on its way.

Tablet-based control for Windows 8, RT from 26th, iOS to come
Microsoft has confirmed that its Xbox SmartGlass app will launch at the same time as Windows 8. Built within the Games part of Windows 8 and Windows RT, the app will allow users to navigate through the console, as well as act like a second support screen for certain games and applications.

Includes Studio, APIs, sample code
Microsoft has issued the first official SmartGlass SDK to Xbox developers, according to an announcement. The software is needed to create SmartGlass Activities. Included in the SDK is the core SmartGlass Studio, as well as a JavaScript library with device APIs, and a sample app showing how code should function.

Document detail SmartGlass, possible augmented reality
A file thought to be a Microsoft company presentation about the future of the Xbox was briefly leaked online before being removed, reports say. The 56-page document -- dated to August 2010 -- describes concepts such as a new Xbox, augmented reality glasses, Xbox TV apps, and SmartGlass. It was removed from Scribd following a takedown notice from a law firm listing Microsoft as a client.

Ported apps could be seen as stepping stone for SmartGlass
Kinectimals, Microsoft's first game on iOS, has made its way to Google's mobile platform. The release schedule appears to follow Microsoft's habit of bringing titles to iOS before Android, as demonstrated by the My Xbox Live launch earlier this week. The company has also released an update to its My Xbox Live app for iOS.

Refined approach to multi-screen experience

Internet Explorer added to Xbox 360 with SmartGlass controls
Microsoft today confirmed the existence of SmartGlass at its E3 keynote. Previously rumored as hardware shown behind closed doors, in practice SmartGlass is an app for Windows 8, Windows Phone, iOS, and Android devices that lets them connect to the Xbox 360. Developers and content providers will have options to display more information or add more control for their apps, games, and TV shows.
