SmartFish just announced the ship date for its Whirl Mini notebook laser mouse. Based on the original and full-size ErgoMotion Mouse, it is meant for travelers. The design allows the hand and wrist to move around, reducing strain and the likelihood or injury, SmartFish claims. The wireless mouse was developed in conjunction with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
SmartFish Technologies began shipping its ErgoMotion Mouse on Wednesday. The peripheral is the first to combine a laser sensor with a swiveling mechanism that suits a user's hand position. This design is said to relieve pain from repetitive stress injuries when using a mouse for long periods of time.
