RunCore Falcon and Pro V 7mm due at CES
RunCore in the run-up to CES has brought out two new solid-state drives each tailored at a different side of notebooks. The Falcon line uses a newer Marvell memory controller that promises faster performance than the existing Pro V line. RunCore hasn't given performance claims for the 2.5-inch SATA3 drive, but the Pro V Max hits 559MB per second in peak read speeds and 521MB per second in writes.

RunCore PRO IV SSDs
Storage device maker RunCore on Monday announced it has added to its recently announced range of PRO IV solid state drives (SSDs), meant to replace old hard drives in users' PCs and Macs. The drives range from 32GB up to 256GB with a variety of interfaces and sizes. SSDs are much more efficient than hard drives, as there are no moving parts. This also makes them more resistant to physical damage such as drops, quieter and faster.

RunCore Pro IV SSD range
RunCore recently announced it will soon begin shipping its RunCore Pro IV 2.5-inch solid state drives. The SATA II disks are unusual in their bundling a drive case, allowing users to backup their existing data or otherwise use the disks externally before removing their traditional hard drive. The SATA case can then be used together with the old hard drive as an external storage device.
