Quirky Perch dock has removable BT speaker
Quirky marked the occasion of CES by bringing out a unique speaker dock sourced partly from its user community. The Perch cradles and charges most smartphones and media players over USB but has a magnetically detachable Bluetooth speaker that can follow its companion device outside of the room. The base has its own mic as well and can act as a speakerphone.

Contort is equipped with 360-degree flexible rubbe
Quirky has released its Contort Flexible USB Hub Manager. The four port USB hub has up to 360-degrees of rotational flexibility, helping to ensure that users won’t accidentally damage their USB devices. It also includes built-in cord management, allowing longer cables to be kept tidy and out of site behind a user’s desktop. The device is also portable and can help stop notebook users on the go from getting tangled up in the cords from multiple devices.

Quirky uses built-in kickstand for video display
Two new iPhone 4 cases have launched on Friday from SwitchEasy and Quirky. SwitchEasy's Colors case uses a shock-resistant silicone material with a smooth finish. It provides access points for the iPhone buttons and protects the headphone jack and data port. The design also includes SwitchEasy's 'jellybean' home button, a glossy cover in a contrasting color over the iPhone's home button. The volume and power buttons are an extra-thick design claimed to improve tactile response.

New cases available now for pre-order
The iPad, not due to ship for another three weeks, is getting its fair share of accessory launches, with several new cases from WaterField and Quirky. WaterField has announced the iPad Smart Case, a drop-in case which features multi-layered padding with a rigid insert and ultrasuede lining, along with a water-resistant exterior to help protect against damage. The case arrives with a low-profile pocket for a charger cable and comes in black, silver, red, brown green and blue. It is due to ship for $60 within one to three weeks of the iPad's initial availability.
