Gaming tablet set for first-quarter release, controller separately
Gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer has finalized the crowd-sourced design and specifications list of the Project Fiona gaming tablet. Rebranded the Razer Edge, the Windows 8 tablet PC has been put up for pre-order for a first-quarter release, though the optional extra side controller mount will be made available later in the year, as opposed to being included from the start.

Gaming tablet with removable controllers to house Core i5, i7
Razer has revealed specifications for its long-awaited gaming tablet. Project Fiona, last seen by Electronista at CES and also appearing at the FCC without the side controllers, will have an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor powering it, after visitors to the company's Facebook page made decisions on its list of internals.

Filing suggests controller as having separate battery
A tablet by gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer has appeared in filings at the FCC. Razer's Project Fiona gaming tablet, last seen by Electronista at CES earlier this year, appears to have lost the handlebar-style controllers on the sides. A filing note relating to accessories mentions a Razer-branded controller, suggesting it as an optional attachment.

Razer 2012 lineup tested at CES
We had the opportunity to explore Razer's whole CES 2012 lineup this week. The company kicked off the year by shipping the Blade and revealing thhe Naga Hex mouse, but its true surprise was exploring tablets with Project Fiona. We'll see how all three have fared after the break.
