Epson outs five projectors
At the currently ongoing Infocomm show in Florida, Epson took the opportunity to showcase five new projectors to add to its lineup. This includes the PowerLite Presenter combo device, the PowerLite 1925W and the budget buyer-oriented PowerLite S7, 79 and W7. The PowerLite Presenter is meant for in-classroom use and also contains a DVD player and two built-in 10W speakers. The 3LCD projector sports a 1366x768 resolution, 2,500 lumens of brightness and closed captioning capabilities. A USB connection sends multimedia content to the PowerLite Presenter instead of VGA video and audio connections.

Epson 410W projector
Epson on Monday announced it will soon add the PowerLite 410W projector to its line-up of classroom projectors, which is due to replace the current 400W (pictured) when it launches. Both short throw, widescreen 3LCD projectors share the same 1280x800 native resolution, filling out the 16:10 aspect ratio of most modern notebooks. Changes from the older model center on a shorter-throw lens that lets the 410W create a 60-inch, 16:10 image from just two feet away. To improve its usefuleness in small classrooms, the projector also gets a wall-mounting option.

Epson PowerLite projector
Epson has recently introduced a new flagship home theater projector, the PowerLite Home Cinema 6500 UB, which sports a native 1920x1080 resolution and a significantly improved 75,000:1 contrast ratio along with 1,600 lumens of brightness. To achieve these numbers, Epson used its 3LCD Crystal Clear Fine D7 chip that includes an HQV processor and a PW390 scaler for creating sharp images. Aimed at home theater aficionados, the 6500UB includes HDMI 1.3a connections for integration into existing setups.

Epson PowerLite HC 700
Epson today rolled out a late entry into HD projectors. The PowerLite Home Cinema 700 is claimed as the first 720p projector to crack the $800 mark and comes one dollar under while still carrying much of the expected feature set of otherwise very high-end units. The lamp in the 3LCD unit outputs at 2,000 lumens and comes with a 1.2X zoom lens that can throw an image as large as 270 inches and as far as 28.6 feet away.
