Sony working on PlayTV 2, 3D games due June 10
Sony is working on a sequel to its PlayTV PVR and tuner add-on for the PS3, which has yet to make it to the North American market. Senior producer at Sony's Cambridge Studio Mark Green confirmed this info, saying Sony is still working on PlayTV and PlayTV 2. At the same time, Sony will release four 3D games or demos on June 10, the company announced.

Xbox would have exclusive Internet TV station
Microsoft and former News Corp. head Peter Chernin are considering producing an Internet TV station just for the Xbox 360, a rumor maintained today. The station would give Xbox Live owners a mix of new and rerun shows. It might cost gamers extra, and Chernin is reportedly pushing to add the equivalent of $1 to $2 per month to the annual Xbox Live Gold fee to subsidize the network.

PlayTV for PS3 Due Sept 10
Sony today established a final release date for its PlayTV tuner for the PlayStation 3. The add-on, once set for the end of June, is now set to launch on September 10th and is poised to gain additional functionality on its release: the shipping version will support recording TV shows even during gameplay. The device already supports dual DVB-T tuners and will capture one over-the-air digital channel while playing another live.

PSP Go!View service live
About two weeks later than originally promised, Sony and Sky have today launched the Go!View video-on-demand service for the PlayStation Portable gaming system. The Go!View service will allow users to transfer content downloaded via PC TV to their PSPs. Subscribers will be able to download TV shows such as Lost, Desperate Housewives and Top Gear, among others, as well as FA Premier League soccer and full-length movies.

Sony PlayTV, Go!View
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe on Tuesday announced release dates for its long-awaited PlayTV add-on for the PS3 and Go!View video service for the PSP. PlayTV will enable the PS3's hard drive to record TV shows thanks to its dual TV tuners. The included software has a 7-day programming guide, and the recorded programs can be viewed remotely over Wi-Fi or transferred to the PSP as well.
