Device integrates iPod dock
Panasonic on Thursday introduced the MW-10, a device that combines a photo frame with an audio system and iPod dock. The system integrates a CD player, AM/FM tuner, 45-station preset memory, and a 9-inch WVGA LCD with 4GB of internal memory for picture storage. Users can add memory or offload photos from a CD or SD memory card.
Photo Books at PMA
Unibind and Digital Foci have both announced new photo books being displayed at the Photo Marketing Association Show (PMA). Unibnd debuted its Photos N Sounds photo book, which enables users to record personalized voice messages to go with their pictures. In addition to the custom messages, Photos N Sounds also plays various themed songs including Christmas carols and a happy birthday song. Users can set the desired messages simply by pressing and holding the recording button located above the speaker.
ASUS UF735 photo frame
Late last week, ASUS unveiled its newest digital photo frame, the UFOTO UF735, which is unique in doubling as a secondary monitor for computers. The 7-inch, 720x480 display sports stereo speakers and an earphone jack that allow it to play MP3-format audio files, stored either on its integrated 128MB of memory or a variety of popular memory card formats as well as USB flash drives.
Parrot designer frame
Parrot on Tuesday announced the latest addition to its range of digital photo frames with one designed by French artist Andrée Putman. The near six-inch screen is framed with contrasting black and white tones with subtle transparency. Transferring photos, in typical Parrot fashion, can be done wirelessly thanks to the frame's integrated Bluetooth connectivity. The frame also kicks off the wireless mobile telephony device maker's Designer Collection of products.
