PDF converter recognizes forms, formatting, tables
Solid Documents has launched Solid PDF to Word for Mac. The PDF converter arrives on the Mac platform with the ability to export to formats compatible with Word, Excel, Pages, HTML and text, giving a user numerous choices when editing a PDF document is necessary. The converter recognizes headers and footers, retains formatting, recovers tables and recognizes hyperlinks. It can also recover rotated text and recognize and reconstruct PDF forms.

PDF Reflow leaves its beta stage
Good.iWare on Thursday released a new version of its PDF viewer app for the iPhone and iPod touch, GoodReader 2.4. Optimized for large PDF or TXT file viewing, the program provides file searching features and enables users to download content from the web simply by entering URLs. Version 2.4 finalizes the PDF Reflow function, which was previously available as a beta, and allows users to extract text from a PDF page for displaying as a TXT file.

PDF2Office Professional v5.0 released
Recosoft has announced PDF2Office Professional v5.0 for the Mac. The PDF converter tool can recreate PDF documents in Microsoft's Word as well as PowerPoint and RTF, retaining the construction and layout of the original. It retains paragraphs, applies styles and regroups graphic elements. It also extracts images and creates tables. All the formatting conversion is done automatically, requiring nothing of the user.

App retains layout, recovers paragraphs, graphics
Recosoft has launched a new PDF converter, PDF2Office, for iWork '08 and '09. The software converts PDF files by changing each page to an equivalent format for either Keynote or Pages. It recreates paragraphs, reconstructs tables and can regroup independent graphical elements. The utility also retains most layout elements of the original PDF.
