In yet another reversal, LG Canada has announced that the Optimus 2X will not be receiving an update to Android 4.0. In a tweet responding to a customer question, the company's Canadian arm clarified that a previous announcement from LG had in fact been a "general statement from HQ." LG Canada had nothing more to add on the matter.
Benchmark results from An3DBenchXL indicate the existence of a new smartphone from Samsung, dubbed the 'Galaxy S 2+.' Compared to the Galaxy S II it's based on, the listed specs of the tested device include a 1.5GHz CPU (versus 1.2GHz in some S II models), an 800x480 display, and Android 2.3.4 preloaded.
LG is reportedly ready to ship its Optimus 2X handset through the Canadian wireless carrier Wind Mobile. Leaked images posted on MobileSyrup show the Android 2.2-based device with Wind branding on the startup screen and packaging. Unnamed sources suggest the launch is scheduled for the next few days, however a specific date and pricing information remain unclear.
The T-Mobile G2X has appeared for sale at the T-Mobile online store. Based on LG’s Optimus 2X, the phone is one of the first to feature NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 running at 1GHz. The phone is currently only available online and won’t appear in T-Mobile’s bricks and mortar stores until April 20.

LG has announced that its Optimus 2X handset is set to arrive in European markets before the end of the month. The device, which first arrived in Korea in January, features NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, enabling 1080p recording and playback. Users can also take advantage of a four-inch display, 8GB of internal memory, and DLNA connectivity.
LG has launched its Optimus 2X, which is billed as the world’s first dual-core smartphone. Also introduced was a previously unseen white version of the NVIDIA Tegra 2-powered handset. The NVIDIA chip gives the phone H.264 video encoding and decoding capabilities and the ability to output video at 1080p over HDMI. It also features true dual-display support.
The Tegra 3 chipset from NVIDIA will be officially unveiled in February, at the Mobile World Congress show, Tegra GM Mike Rayfield told Hexus recently. Other details revealed about other ARM-based chips, namely the Tegra 2, include that the chips will be used in a number of tablets powered by Android 3.0, other than just Motorola's Xoom. It will also power the LG Optimus 2X, billed as the first dual-core smartphone.

An Apple job listing for a dedicated clock face team may suggest future fashion-brand partnerships, possibly in time for the updated watchOS updates that are likely to be revealed at this spring's Worldwide Developer Conference. Since the introduction of watchOS 2, there has only been four new watch faces, but three of them were left over from the first release, with only one truly new one -- the co-branded HermÃ©s face exclusive to that edition.
