OPPO Find 3 Android phone coming to China
A new smartphone due for China, the OPPO Find 3, is due to arrive soon with some impressive specs. Made to compete with the Meizu MX, it is made of metal, glass and silicon and sports relatively high-end specs. These include a dual-core, 1.5GHz processor from Qualcomm, 1GB of RAM and a four-inch touchscreen.

Android-powered Oppo X903 gets 1GHz CPU
Chinese company Oppo has unveiled its first Android smartphone, the X903. The promised specs are fairly impressive, with a 4-inch IPS screen made by Hitachi and sporting a 10-point, multi-touch layer. It slides open to show off a hardware QWERTY keyboard as well.

Oppo Digital intros BDP-93 Blu-ray player
Oppo Digital has announced its latest Blu-ray player, the BDP-93. It will succeed the BDP-83 that was sent out to a select few back in 2009, and get all of its features as well as support for Blu-ray 3D specification including dual HDMI 1.4a outputs, Netflix Watch Instantly functionality and Blockbuster on Demand. Wi-Fi and an eSATA port are also part of the features.

Oppo BDP-80 sheds minor features for price cut
Oppo has begun its week by launching the lowest-cost Blu-ray player in what's normally a high-end line. The BDP-80 is similar to the BDP-83 but drops the secondary video processor, moving all work to the main decoder; it sheds 24p DVD upscaling in the process. Slightly older DACs as well as the absences of IR and RS-232 (serial) ports also help separate the BDP-80 from its earlier but more expensive predecessor.

Oppo to introduce cheaper Blu-ray player at CES
Oppo Digital hs announced via a Twitter update that it will soon release a new, less costly Blu-ray player. Thus far, Oppo Digital only offers the $499 BDP-83 Blu-ray player and an $899 Special Edition of the same, with a more detailed and official announcement of the less expensive device to come out early in January. This can only mean the details will be made public at CES, and there are no known specifics about the new device at this time.

Oppo BDP-83 now shipping
Oppo is now shipping its flagship Blu-ray player, the BDP-83, with shoppers anywhere in North America able to purchase it from Amazon. First announced last year, the player has Anchor Bay video processing and supports SACD and DVD Audio discs. Users can also play back content on USB flash drivers thanks to a pair of USB ports, there is an Ethernet jack for accessing BD-Live content and there is a full set of connections for 7.1-channel analog audio support.

Oppo BDP-83 Blu-ray player
Oppo Digital's BDP-83 Blu-ray player, first spotted at CEDIA last fall, now has a release date and pricing info for those early customers who e-mailed the company and expressed interest in the advanced Blu-ray disc player. This is Oppo's first Blu-ray player, as the company is most famous for its upscaling DVD players capable of supporting multiple formats that include SACD, DVD-Audio and HDCD.

Oppo Blu-ray at CEDIA
Members of community site AVSForum today said they have spotted an unannounced Blu-ray player from Oppo at the CEDIA home theater expo. The BDP-S83 would be the company's first movie reader of the type and currently has no formal announcement, although certain clues are visible from the device. An Ethernet jack confirms that it would come as a Blu-Ray Profile 2.0 player with Internet-based special features.
