Fresh complaints follow iTunes DRM uproar
Norway's Consumer Council, Forbrukerrådet, has spoken out against Amazon's terms-of-service regarding e-books purchased on the Kindle, as detailed in a post on the Council's website. The group's director, Hans Marius Graasvold, claims several points in the e-book agreement violate Norwegian consumer-rights laws.

Norway vs. iTunes Store
Apple should soon face scrutiny from the Norwegian government over practices at the iTunes Store, writes the Associated Press. Bjoern Erik Thon, the consumer ombudsman for Norway, says he is planning to bring Apple in front of the government's Market Council, over allegations that the iTunes Store is closed off to non-Apple media players. The company has until November 3rd to respond; Thon has been pushing for a voluntary change for two years however, on the basis that Apple's practices break Norwegian law.

Norwegian iPhone prices
Following an announcement for Sweden by parent company TeliaSonera, Norway's NetCom has revealed its prices for the iPhone 3G. Subscriptions are divided into three different levels of iTalk plans -- Small, Medium and Large -- and are roughly equivalent to the Swedish plans, providing steps of 100, 250 and 1,000 in voice minutes, SMS texts and megabytes of data transfer. These cost 399, 699 and 1,099 NOK per month, in order.

Telenor after iPhone 3G?
Norwegian phone carrier Telenor is still contemplating a deal for the iPhone 3G, a company representative claims. In response to an inquiry by a MacNN source, Caroline Ellis, Telenor Mobile's Head of Customer Relations, has explained that while the company has signed no contract for the iPhone, an agreement is currently being "considered," and a decision has yet to be made.

iPhone SDK international
The iPhone SDK is now open to developers from outside the United States, language on Apple's official website indicates. Whereas the site previously stated that "the iPhone Developer Program will initially be available to a limited number of developers in the U.S. and will expand to other countries in the coming months," a message now says that it "will initially be available to a limited number of developers during the beta period."
