Hands On: Commander One 1.0.1232 (OS X)
The Commander One website, and all the company's press releases about the product, give a little wink and say that the software should remind people of a certain unnamed application. All we can think of is Norton Commander (NC) and yes, Commander One 1.0.1232 does look an awful lot like that ancient application. Of course "ancient" is relative but, come on, Norton Commander was around in the mid-1980s. Just as Apple was first making us point and click with mice, NC was all about the keyboard, and all about looking like DOS. You may be too young to remember DOS and if so, we hate you. At the time, we were young, and we hated DOS.

Norton dipped into a new field for itself Monday with Identity Safe. Going beyond its rival, Norton adds both a unified social sharing shortcut as well as a preemptive anti-phishing system that will check for faked websites in search results, not just when the page loads.

Apple employees testing wheelchair features
New features included in the forthcoming watchOS 3 are being tested by Apple retail store employees, including a new activity-tracking feature that has been designed with wheelchair users in mind. The move is slightly unusual in that, while retail employees have previously been used to test pre-release versions of OS X and iOS, this marks the first time they've been included in the otherwise developer-only watchOS betas. The company is said to have gone to great lengths to modify the activity tracker for wheelchair users, including changing the "time to stand" notification to "time to roll" and including two wheelchair-centric workout apps. http://bit.ly/2955JDa
