Apple has announced that in the first four days following the release of the beta iPhone SDK, over 100,000 downloads have been processed through the Apple Developer Connection, to which people must officially belong before they can use the software. "Developer reaction to the iPhone SDK has been incredible with more than 100,000 downloads in the first four days," reads a statement by Apple's senior VP of Worldwide Product Marketing, Philip Schiller. "Also, over one million people have watched the launch video on Apple.com, further demonstrating the incredible interest developers have in creating applications for the iPhone.” [full story]

Apple has added two new additions to its iPod games lineup: Pole Position Remix, and Block Breaker Deluxe. Pole Position Remix is a redesigned version of the arcade classic racing game where players compete for first place on any of five three-dimensional tracks. Obstacles like oil slicks, puddles, and other cars will get in the player's way as they race through four game types. Billboards contain art based off a user's music selection, with additional themes, cars, and courses ready to be unlocked. Pole Position Remix is available from the iTunes Store for $5.
