Expansion mostly limited to minor towns
Sprint has expanded its LTE 4G coverage to 28 more towns in the US, according an announcement. The new locations are spread out across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Mississippi, Minnesota, Washington, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, and Massachusetts. Most of them are relatively minor; some notable names include Branson, Missouri, and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Quarter of targets hit in last 36 hours
Most neighborhoods in the initial Google Fiber cities have met their pre-registration targets. At least 180 of the 202 "fiberhoods" defined by Google in both Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri, have signed up enough households for the high-speed Gigabit Internet service to be switched on, with only one fiberhood showing no interest whatsoever.

Free low-speed internet offered to Fiber adopters
Google has officially launched its Google Fiber project. A streamed event by the search provider announced that both Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri will have the gigabit Internet service introduced to households within six weeks. Packages, including necessary hardware, and registration incentives were detailed on a YouTube stream, along with the surprise offer of "free" slower Internet access to those not wanting the full gigabit service.

Will be Apple's largest mall outlet
A "completely redesigned" Saint Louis Galleria Apple Store will open this Saturday at 9AM, Apple has announced. The shop will replace an earlier mini-store, and move to a space on the upper level of the mall occupying more than 6,000 square feet, with an entrance 55 feet wide. It will reportedly be Apple's largest-ever shop located inside a mall.

May become the largest mall-based store in US
Construction work at the St. Louis (Missouri) Galleria reveals that Apple, who now have a mini-store in the mall, are moving to a full-size venue that could become the largest mall-based Apple Store in the US, including an out-front lounge and kiosk area.
