Amazon quietly discontinues the Kindle DX

10/15, 11:22am

Aging Kindle DX no longer offered for sale as a new item from Amazon

All signs point to Amazon quietly discontinuing its Kindle DX e-book reader. The price of the aging device was recently dropped from $380 to $300 and now, the device is no longer available from purchase as a new item from Amazon's site. The site doesn't list a date of the device's return to stock, nor does it have it listed in the comparison pull-downs anymore either.
