Palm Pre due at Dutch Hi
Ahead of a scheduled UK launch event next week, Dutch wireless provider Hi has posted a product page on its website advertising the Palm Pre smartphone. Hi is a sub-brand of KPN, which has ties to Telefonica. As Telefonica runs UK carrier O2, which was reported to be the exclusive carrier of the Pre, the posting implies that Telefonica may have landed a multi-country deal. The product page reveals Hi will sell the Pre only subsidized with a contract.

BBerry Storm 2 Type Rumor
RIM's BlackBerry Storm sequel may unveil a significantly different input scheme, a Dutch spokesman for the company has said in an interview today. Responding to criticisms of the Storm's current typing method, RIM's Alain Segond von Banchet says the next Storm will use a different method for input.

KPN on Dutch iPhone
Royal KPN is in negotiations with Apple about carrying the iPhone in the Netherlands, according to Thomson Financial. The news agency says that it has word of talks thanks to a KPN spokesman, who in turn explains that Apple actively approached the Dutch carrier, and met with a warm reception. No one at KPN has agreed to speak on the worth of a deal, however, or on matters like the progress of talks and how long they have been active.
