Native Instruments has expanded its line of KORE Soundpack libraries to include the Absynth Spectral Expansion. The collection includes a variety of sounds based on Absynth's synthesizer engine. Users can choose from 200 unique samples with 1,600 variations, including categories for bass, keys, pads and bells, among others. The expansion pack focuses on organic sounds, utilizing Absynth 4's Wave Morphing feature. [full story]

Native Instruments says it has released True Strike Tension, a new Soundpack expansion for its KORE 2 and KORE Player music utilities. The pack is based on samples from ProjectSAM's True Strike 2 library, and is intended for film scores and similar styles of music, containing suspenseful percussion sounds from a number of global instruments. Some regions represented include Africa, Japan and the Middle East; more exotic instruments include the bendir, kenkeni, darabuka and okedo-daiko. [full story]

Native Instruments has released the second volume in its series of Massive Expansion KORE Soundpacks. The library is based on the Massive engine, and features 200 synthesizer sounds that can be used in KORE 2, the free KORE Player, and the Massive synth. Each sound can be tweaked using eight different sound variations, with parameters also assigned to the KORE user interface. [full story]

Native Instruments has released Reaktor Animated Circuits, the latest KORE Soundpack. Users can experiment with a wide range of self-generating soundscapes, textures and rhythms. The sounds are powered by several Reaktor-based engines, including the new Spiral sequencer, and are intended for purposes like electronic music, movie scoring and games. [full story]

Native Instruments has announced a new software version of KORE 2, alongside price reductions and a KORE soundpack bundle. KORE 2 Software Edition offers musicians and producers the chance to combine KORE 2 with their existing MIDI controller. The Software Edition provides the full functionality of the KORE 2 application, but leaves out the dedicated KORE hardware controller in favor of a more affordable price point. Native Instruments has released a new addition to its line of Soundpack libraries for KORE 2 and KORE Player, KONTAKT Retro Machines. The library emulates a number of classic electronic instruments invented in the 1970s and '80s, used in genres such as electro and hip-hop; five digital synths, 11 analog synths and six drum machines are reproduced, across 135 KoreSounds.
