Yahoo starts offering username expiry monitoring for $2
Yahoo is starting to offer older disused usernames up for reuse, and allowing potential owners to pay $2 for alerts when a username expires. The new Watchlist will allow a user to monitor up to 5 usernames, with e-mails automatically sent when any names on the list become dormant in a three-year period. Usernames will also be held for 14 days, giving the Watchlist user time to register without added competition from other potential username owners.
Mophie adds Juice Pack for HTC One, HTC Watch service shuttered in six countries
Mophie has released a Juice Pack battery case for the HTC One. Like the versions for iPhones in the past, the case doubles to offer both protection and extended battery life. Mophie promises that the accessory will double the battery life for HTC One users on the go.
Integrated buttons, improved battery capacity
Battery-boosting case manufacturer Mophie has used Mobile World Congress to show off its new iPhone 5 case, shortly after putting the Juice Pack Helium on the market. The Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 5 takes the same concept of previous incarnations, but this time it is designed to house the extra size of the iPhone 5, along with a number of slight adjustments.
Case to more than double existing battery capacity
Mophie is gearing up to release its first battery case for a non-iOS handset. The Juice Pack for Samsung Galaxy S III is claimed to add more than 100 percent to the existing battery life of the Android smartphone, according to Engadget. This could potentially see the handset run for over 21 hours, double that of the 10 hours 20 minutes when used for 3G calls during tests.
