Huawei has offered an early look at two of the mobile devices it will bring to the Mobile World Congress show in Spain next week. This includes the Ideos X3 smartphone and a new Ideos S7 Slim tablet, both of which use the Android operating system. The S7 Slim looks to differ only slightly from the currently available device that shares the same name.
The Huawei Ideos S7 tablet, first shown back in February, is now up for pre-order at Best Buy. The seven-inch, 800x480 touchscreen tablet is due to arrive at the retailer on November 7 and cost $300. The Android 2.1 device has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.
While still unofficial, a leak courtesy of TmoNews seems to confirm that the Huawei Ideos handset is due to arrive at T-Mobile. The report even provides a launch date, November 3, and reveals that the entry-level Android 2.2 handset will be known as the Comet at the provider. The phone will sport a thre-megapixel camera, GPS and Swype for its virtual keyboard.
