Cellphone maker E-Ten has debuted a trio of new Glofiish phones at the Taiwanese Computex expo. Leading these according to MobileBurn is the X900, a touchscreen device running the professional version of Windows Mobile 6.1. Although the device also has HSDPA broadband, its primary feature may be the style of touch control, which is said to resemble the TouchFLO interface used on HTC's Touch handsets. A difference is that the X900 uses 3D effects and large icons better suited to fingers. [full story]

E-TEN announced details on two of its newest quad-band PC Pocket phones from its Glofiish line, the M750 and the near-identical M810. Both feature an integrated GPS receiver, while Wi-Fi and a keyboard allow for easy Internet access and browsing. Java support for Internet games and applications makes them E-TEN's first Pocket PCs to do so. The 810 differs mainly with an extra camera to allow for video calls (pictured) and adds UTMS and HSDPA to the 750's GPRS and EDGE connectivity options. [full story]

February 4 - 11:00am EST
E-Ten on Monday rolled out two of its promised updates to its Glofiish smartphones in advance of the Mobile World Congress show next week. The now formally launched V900 is the company's first-ever mobile TV phone and is one of the few from any manufacturer to support more than one standard: it handles both DVB-H (handheld) and DVB-T (terrestrial) signals in Europe as well as T-DMB in Korea; it can also handle DAB digital radio. This makes the large-screened phone an ideal fit for international football (soccer) fans who may want to catch the game away from a fixed TV, E-Ten says. [full story]<< first1last >>
