A broader range of potential specifications for Canon's EOS 5D Mark III camera may have leaked ahead of schedule. Corroborating earlier rumors, a leaked spec sheet posted on Canon Rumors suggests the DSLR will be outfitted with a 22-megapixel sensor and 61-point autofocus system. Fresh details point to a new Digic 5+ image processor, rather than the company's existing Digic 5 chip, and an ISO range that tops out at 102400.
Canon on Wednesday introduced its EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR camera, the successor to Canonís popular EOS 5D. The full-frame (24 x 36mm), 21.1-megapixel CMOS sensor is housed in a more compact and affordable camera body and offers HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Leveraging the new DIGIC 4 imaging processor, the company claims the new sensor delivers lower noise along with an expanded sensitivity range from ISO 50 to ISO 25,600 (three full stops higher than the original EOS 5D). Canon's proprietary DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor delivers fast 14-bit analog-to-digital conversion and continuous shooting at 3.9 fps for an unlimited number of full-resolution JPEGs (up to the capacity of the memory card) or up to 14 RAW images in a single burst when using a UDMA CF card. Compatible with Canon EF lenses, it is scheduled for delivery by the end of November and will be sold in a body-only configuration ($2,700) and in a kit version with Canonís EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens ($3,500).
Canon is expected later this month to unveil an updated EOS 5D Mark II at Photokina, with insiders predicting a 21-megapixel sensor and HD movie capturing, like the recently unveiled Nikon D90. CNET reveals that Canon said it would replace a "long overdue model" of SLR, potentially indicating the three year-old 5D. Some think that the D90-style additions would stray too much from Canon's focus on quality, rather than loading down its camera with extraneous features.

Apple want ads hint at future Watch faces
An Apple job listing for a dedicated clock face team may suggest future fashion-brand partnerships, possibly in time for the updated watchOS updates that are likely to be revealed at this spring's Worldwide Developer Conference. Since the introduction of watchOS 2, there has only been four new watch faces, but three of them were left over from the first release, with only one truly new one -- the co-branded Hermés face exclusive to that edition. There is a rumored March 15 event, but if that takes place it will likely focus on new band options as regards the Apple Watch. http://apple.co/1O1TbTI
