EA Mobile has announced that Rock Band Reloaded is now available on the App Store, with a download for the iPhone or iPod touch and an HD version specifically for the iPad. The game includes new content from artists such as Nirvana, Billy Idol, No Doubt, Nine Inch Nails, and Vampire Weekend. New tracks are also promised to be added throughout the holidays.
EA Mobile has introduced its new Summer and Fall line of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch games, consisting of up to eight different titles in development. Previously presented at EA’s Hot for Holiday Event in New York, the new line of games cover a wide variety of genres ranging from the Madden NFL 11 and NCAA Football sports games to the Risk strategy war-based game. Additional titles mentioned include Reckless Racing, SimCity Deluxe, The Sims 3 Ambitions, Yahtzee, and R-Type.
EA Mobile has introduced its first Simpsons-themed game for the iPhone and iPod touch, The Simpson Arcade. Players take control of Homer Simpson as he chases a donut, but, as a result, ends up saving the town of Springfield. During this arcade-style adventure, users can punch, grab, kick, butt slam, throw items, and belly-flop onto enemies. Earned power-ups can be used by Homer to call in family reinforcements such as Bart or Marge
EA Mobile has added to its collection of App Store games with the launch of Battleship. The game follows the same theme as the classic Battleship board-game, requiring players to sink their opponent's ships in a strategic naval battle. Players can press a square which corresponds to the desired coordinates for the attack strike, which is then displayed as a 3D battle sequence including gunfire and battleship destruction. Throughout the game, players can strive for ascending ranks starting at Seaman and ending at Admiral.
Codemasters and EA Mobile have both announced new iPhone games, F1 2009 and Jewel Quest Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear. F1 2009 is a Formula One racing game that features 10 teams, 20 drivers and 17 circuits from the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship. The game's time-trial mode demands the fastest lap time, while the endurance mode tests both speed and consistency as players drive through either six, nine or 12 laps to set the best average time.
EA Mobile has announced that the 1980s game Dragon’s Lair has been remade for the iPhone and iPod touch. The animated adventure focuses on a Knight, Dirk the Daring, who is on a quest to rescue Princess Daphne from the lair of a fire-breathing dragon, Singe, who dwells inside the castle of an evil wizard. Players have to defeat a variety of monsters including the Lizard King and the Giddy Goons, all while exploring different caverns and overcoming obstacles.
EA Mobile has launched two new games for the iPhone and iPod touch, Auditorium and Surviving High School. Auditorium is an audio-visual puzzle game where players must guide a “Flow” of particles into audio containers. The game features five acts with up to 7 levels in each, and has variety of different ways for users to win each level. Players control the “Flow” via the touchscreen, where they can attract, repel or deflect the light stream, while avoiding obstacles that can disrupt it. Users can also go to the in-game store and buy additional movement features such as new acts, concepts, colors and themes.
EA Mobile has released four new iPhone and iPod touch applications on Apple's App Store: NBA Live, EA Sports FIFA 10, Mystery Mania, and Boggle. NBA Live is a basketball game where players take control and play against authentic NBA teams in a variety of modes. Features include the ability to unlock and add legendary characters to a team, fifteen different music tracks to choose from, and the ability to control the players via the virtual analog stick or accelerometer. Different game modes include an 82-game Season mode, an Exhibition, and a Playoff mode.
EA Mobile has announced its Scrabble game for the iPhone and iPod touch now connects to the Facebook Scrabble application. By offering a connected version of the game, users can play head-to-head against anyone accessing the game on either Facebook or the iPhone/iPod touch. Players also receive scores and statistics which displays their rank against other players, and a built-in chat function that enables users to talk with friends and opponents during the game.
