HTC’s successor the to One X may have made an early appearance thanks to an Android Police tipster. The photograph shows a device featuring HTC’s revised design language for the 2013 model year, and is very similar to the Droid DNA and the HTC Butterfly. HTC Butterfly latest variant of HTC's latest flagship to hit the market
The HTC Butterfly , which features a 5-inch 1080p display with 440ppi, is headed to China Unicom for a mid-December launch. Further, an international version is also expected to launch with 3G around the same time and could be labeled the HTC Deluxe DLX. The Butterfly is already on sale as the J Butterfly in Japan and the Droid DNA in the US.
Display raises the bar
HTC unveiled its latest Android flagship, the Droid DNA, at a media event on Tuesday in New York City, where Electronista had a chance to try out the new device ahead of its formal launch. The company appears to be refining its One series under Verizon's Droid brand, adding a five-inch LCD 3 display with 1920x1080 resolution, though the device is marketed as a thoroughbred smartphone rather than a "phablet."
Handset headed to Verizon
HTC has introduced a new member in its Droid family, the DNA, which will join Verizon's existing lineup. The flagship Android smartphone integrates a five-inch LCD 3 display, only slightly smaller than the displays on Samsung's Galaxy Notes, though HTC argues that its device does not fall within the "phablet" categorization that has been tied to the competing devices.
