Catalogs digital media in variety of formats
Long-standing media and disk cataloging program CDFinder has been given a new name and a total rewrite, including a new user interface. Now called NeoFinder, the program offers albums and smart folders, a map utilizing GPS and location data and a fully-integrated inspector in a one-window interface. Can download from stock sites, manage assets
Minder Softworks has brought out a new digital asset management (DAM) application for the Mac called Stock Keeper the combines a stock images search engine and browser with a full portfolio and digital asset manager. The program comes with connections to 28 popular sources of online media, but users can customize the list as they like. It also supports adding tags, notes and license information to stored images.

Clients, administrators need only a browser to use
Seefile Software have introduced version 5 of their web-based Digital Asset Management (DAM) server software, Seefile 5. Based on feedback from photographers, publishers and ad agencies, the program allows businesses to store their assets in "the cloud" even though the files are actually stored locally, but accessible from any web browser without anyone -- either administrators, users or clients -- having to deal with software beyond the web browser.

Canto Single User
Canto has announced Canto Single User, the return of its Canto-branded digital asset management (DAM). Based on Cumulus 8 technologies, the software provides an interface for cataloging and organizing any type of digital file. Canto is designed for both professionals and hobbyist’s and enables users to manage files stored on local drives, CDs and DVDs, networked computers and networked attached devices. Users can also share their files with other people through the web or e-mail.

Cumulus 8 released
Canto has updated its flagship product, Cumulus 8. The program is used to manage digital assets including digital images, animations, videos, and music over an online server. Cumulus 8 now gathers usage statistics and includes a reporting feature which assigns a value to assets by noting which are used most. The update can also organize assets via e-mail, enabling mobile device photos or security-camera feeds to be uploaded over a secure network.

SeeFile 4.5 DAM software
SeeFile this week announced the latest version of its digital asset management (DAM) software: SeeFile 4.5, due next week, reduces the cost of deploying a graphical replacement for FTP servers, the company claims. The latest version offers improved performance on Mac OS X 10.5, automatic User Expiration for temporary access, the ability to share any volume or folder visible by OS, superior management of metadata fields, better support for video file formats, and support for a wide range of camera RAW formats. SeeFile runs as webserver software on any Mac, turning it into a "live" web server that provides a continuous view of all digital files saved on the hard disk.

NetXposure 5

Th new version has been re-architected as a rich Internet application utilizing Adobe AIR and Adobe Flex technologies.
