Carbon Scatter arrives on Mac, supports Cinema 4D, Maya

E-on updated its native instancing software, Carbon Scatter, adding Mac-platform compatibility with Maya and Cinema 4D. The software creates complex, detailed populations, generating nature effects with advanced instancing controls. It has EcoSystem technology, SolidGrowthCS plants, non-overlapping instances and animation with layering systems and interactive instance painting.

Cinema 4D R11 adds new light engine, tools, more

Cinema 4D Release 11

Maxon on Tuesday unveiled Cinema 4D Release 11, a major update to its 3D animation suite, introducing an enhanced lighting engine, animation tools, and improved render speeds, among other features. In addition to the aforementioned inclusions, Cinema 4D now offers enhanced compatibility with other industry software, such as the COLLADA file format, and the CineMan Renderman accompaniment. The updated sweet also comes with BodyPaint 3D Release 4, which now includes WACOM tablet support.
