Braven launches BRV-1 outdoors Bluetooth speaker

Ruggedized speaker water, shock resistant

Audio equipment manufacturer Braven has announced the availability of the shock-absorbent BRV-1 speaker. The IPX5-certified water-resistant speaker is aimed at the outdoors afficionado. The device boasts a built-in power bank, allowing users to charge a cellphone from the battery in the speaker.

New models boost high end offering; adds waterproof model

Braven has taken the wraps off of three models of Bluetooth speaker. Newly joining the family, the 850 is similar to the brand’s Six Series device, but is four times larger -- allowing for deeper bass and bigger sound. The BRV-1 is suited for outdoor adventures with its compact, waterproof, shock-resistant design weighing in at less than 400 grams (0.88 lbs). The Braven 570 delivers the same quality audio as its predecessors with a stylish, impact-resistant exterior and a lower price point.

Braven unveils multi-talented Bluetooth speaker line up

Braven has taken the wraps offits new SIX Series Bluetooth speaker range. Designed for smartphone users, the range comprises the Braven 650, 625S and the 600. In addition to being to be daisy-chained to create a larger sound stage, the speakers can also double as a mobile charger over a built-in USB port as the video embedded below demonstrates.

Braven speakers support FaceTime, iChat, Skype

Braven, which used to be called Spar, has just introduced a new Bluetooth speaker range that aims to differentiate itself from the others out there thanks to a couple of uncommon features. All three can be daisy-chained to provide stereo or surround sound, and they can also be used to charge phones or other portable devices through their USB ports. The wireless range is Bluetooth's typical 33 feet, and the auxiliary port also allows connecting other sources.
