Razer announces Chroma versions of three gaming devices

Full-spectrum, color-customizable lighting added to keyboard, mouse and headphones

Gaming accessories manufacturer Razer announced at Gamescom this week that it would be bringing new versions of three of its devices to the market with a new feature. Chroma, a new system that allows custom color backlighting adjustments and syncing across enabled devices, is being been added to the Razer DeathAdder mouse, BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, and Kraken 7.1 headset.

Ambidextrous gaming mouse uses dual-sensor tracking system

Razer is adding to its already extensive gaming peripheral line, introducing a new mouse and several keyboards. The Ouroboros is a fully customizable, ambidextrous wireless mouse designed to accommodate most hand sizes, while the rebooted BlackWidow 2013 gaming-focused keyboard series adds a new offering and two improved models, including a version with backlit keys.

Razer swings first ever real 7.1 headphones, more

Razer swung out a wide range of gaming hardware and accessories on Tuesday that included a few extras for Apple users. For everyone, the Tiamat 7.1 is billed as the first true 7.1-channel surround sound headset. By packing five drivers in each earpiece and coordinating their output, it can replicate not just the seven main satellite points but the subwoofer channel as well. Owners can individually adjust the output of each channel and revert to a regular stereo signal if they like.


Razer's Anansi, BlackWidow keyboards get native Mac models

Offer Mac form factor with progamming & drivers

Razer has brought out special editions of three keyboards designed specifically for Mac gamers. The BlackWidow, BlackWidow Ultimate, and Anansi keyboards are now available with the standard Mac key layout. These keyboards also incorporate Mac native drivers and, as a result, can be programmed much like their Windows counterparts.
