Aquafada Cloud Authoring platform utilizes by Kobo to digitize its magazine content
Digital e-magazing software publisher Aquafadas and e-reader maker Kobo have begun collaborating, in light of Aquafadas' cloud-based eZine publishing offering. The Aquafadas Cloud Authoring platform allows Kobo to digitize magazines on a mass-focused level, and has done so for more than 200 titles and a total of over 7,000 issues.
Version 3 improves exports, adds animation options
Aquafadas has pushed a new update to its animated slideshow software, PulpMotion 3. It allows users to build slideshows via drag -and-drop, utilizing over 100 pre-built themes, with support for music and audio/media sync. It offers HD export to Apple's Mail, iDVD, iWeb and GarageBand or to Apple devices such as the Apple TV or iPod. Pulp Motion is available in an advanced version that adds extensible themes and full-screen navigation of media files.
Aquafadas announces Snow Leopard compatibilities
Aquafadas has announced that all but one of its software titles are now Snow Leopard compatible. The latest releases of SnapFlow 1.0.1, PulpMotion and PulpMotion Advanced 2.3, BannerZest and BanerZest Pro 1.6 and VideoPier/VideoPier HD 1.3.1 are all Snow Leopard-ready. Users can download the updates directly from the company or via the software update feature within each program.
VideoPier 1.3 ships
Aquafadas has launched an update to its MPEG-2/AVCHD capture and management utilities, VideoPier and VideoPier HD 1.3. The latest version now supports Elgato's Turbo.264/Turbo.264 HD, enabling faster export and conversion of codecs while reducing CPU load on the host machine. New clip management tools can be used for deleting clips, from both the application and the hard disk, with support for drag-and-drop movement of clips between events. Version 1.3 also improves the line display, for easier selection of multiple items, and fixes a bug involving Sanyo camcorders.
PulpMotion 2.2 Released
Aquafadas has updated PulpMotion, its slideshow animation program. Both standard and advanced versions of PulpMotion 2.2 include slideshow themes from the first generation PulpMotion, as well as an additional four new themes. All of the four new themes feature the ability to include 3D animations. Several bugs from the previous PulpMotion have also been fixed, making it more reliable than its predecessor.
PulpMotion 2.1 update
Aquafadas on Tuesday introduced PulpMotion 2.1, an update to its slideshow animation application for the Mac. The newest version of the software now provides integration with iLife '09, and works with the new “Faces” feature in iPhoto. This ability is possible with both the standard and advanced edition of PulpMotion. Also included in the update is the integration of the latest version of Slideshow 3D '09, improved support for Lightroom 2, and various speed and memory improvements when exporting.
