Facebook has expanded the reach of its recently-launched reciprocal messaging app Slingshot to the rest of the world, following its United States-only launch. The app, available on iOS and Android internationally, will let recipients of images, video, and text-based messages view the contents only after replying another message back at the original sender.
Amazon is in discussions with Transport for London (TfL) to turn ticket offices for the London Underground system into delivery drop-off points, according to a report. Details of the talks surfaced after London mayor Boris Johnson revealed plans to make the Underground operate 24 hours per day by 2015, while also closing the majority of ticket offices in the network.
Amazon Lockers are being pulled from Staples and RadioShack stores, after both brick-and-mortar retailers decided to pull out of the agreements. The removal of the units, which allows customers to ship deliveries to code-locked storage systems based in nearby stores rather than to their home or work, comes just under a year after they were installed.
The Amazon Locker package delivery system appears to be going into wider release, as new units have begun popping up in locales outside of the original pilot cities of Seattle, New York, and London. The alternative delivery method has reportedly seen only light usage, but Amazon appears to be set on moving forward with the project. The service now has a dedicated FAQ page on Amazon's site.

Basically, it's a large lockable metal locker system that lets buyers pick up their shipped packages in their local neighborhoods. It's an alternative to have products ship to their house, office or apartment. There are eight locations in NYC with another eight in Seattle, according to GeekWire.
