Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 coming to Brookstone in May
Parrot's AR.Drone 2.0 remote-controlled quadricopter introduced at CES is now available for pre-order at Brookstone. While the official ship date is in May, a limited number of units should arrive on April 9. Compared to its predecessor, the new AR.Drone has the ability to capture 720p videos and stills from its integrated camera.

Griffin Helo TC chopper uses iOS remote control
Griffin has just introduced a product that will end the monopoly enjoyed by Parrot and its AR.Drone quadrocopter. Like the original product, the Helo TC helicopter can be flown by a free app for iPhones, iPads or iPod touch devices. The form factor of the two crafts is slightly different, but either is an airborne toy.

Parrot AR.Drone goes for pre-sale on Brookstone
Parrot's AR.Drone remote controlled quadricopter has now gone on pre-sale through a special deal Brookstone. The toy is unique in that it needs to be controlled using the Wi-Fi connection of an iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. It also has two integrated video cameras for streaming live images to the screen of the Apple device.

Parrot announces AR.Drone coming to US in fall
Bluetooth device specialist Parrot at the E3 show is showing off its AR.Drone quadricopter that can be piloted with a connected iPod touch, iPhone or iPad. The quadricopter is equipped with two cameras, with the front-facing unit broadcasting what the quadricopter sees onto the screen of the Apple device controlling it. The AR.Drone connects using its own Wi-Fi network to the Apple device, and users need to download the AR.FreeFlight app to control it.
