May 21 - 10:55pm EDT   iPod accessory manufacturer Mophie today unveiled the Ratchet 360° Belt Clip Swivel case for the iPhone, iPod touch, 3G Nano and Classic. The case includes a Base Case silicone sleeve, which the Ratchet then tightly grips from the sides, and pivots to store the device at any angle. Mophie offers the Ratchet 360° in two color combinations: pink/black, and grey/black, with a clear Base Case. It is currently selling for $20 for the iPod nano and Classic, while the iPhone and Touch model sell for $30. [full story]

December 21 - 4:55pm EST   Tunewear has begun shipping its PRIE Rawhide for third-generation iPod nanos, a genuine leather case with a rugged flip-style enclosure available in either black or brown leather. The case comes in four different designs, forgoing the usual hooks and clips to offer an extremely thin protective cover for Apple's newest iPod nano. December 20 - 4:35pm EST   Boomwave has launched Nanopets for Apple's current-generation iPod nano. The portable player cases feature rounded corners with dog eared designs, and come in four different colors which include 'Doggstarr' black, 'Spitzer' white, 'Bichpoo' pink, and 'Bludhound' red. November 28 - 4:15pm EST   Apple today released a software update for its newly release iPod classic and "3G" iPod nano as well as the 5G iPods. iPod Software 1.2.3 resolves a problem with the iPod (5th generation) where songs and other content do not appear after updating to software version 1.2.2. According to Apple, the iPod v1.03 update for the iPod nano/classic offers "bug fixes;" however, reports indicate that it resolves general issues with games affecting song play counts, the iPod nano's clock, problems with Cover Flow and a spinning hard drive issue (on the Classic).
