Orange confirms Toshiba TG01 exclusive in UK
UK wireless provider Orange on Thursday officially confirmed at an expected event that it will be the exclusive provider of the Toshiba TG01 touchscreen smartphone. The 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered device will ship to stores on Friday.

Orange will ship the device with an exclusive film trailer for G.I. Joe preloaded, and will be the first Toshiba device in Orange's Signature Series. Shortcuts to Orange services, such as its video streams, Orange Maps navigation service and web portal, will be preloaded on the home screen. The handset is otherwise close to stock and includes its customized Windows Mobile 6.1 interface, a 4.1-inch 800x480 display, 7.2Mbps 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi.

Customers who opt for a £39.15 (nearly $64) per month plan for 24 months will get the TG01 free of charge through Orange. This plan includes 1,200 anytime minutes, unlimited text messages, access to Orange Maps and anytime Internet browsing. Orange France already offers the TG01, and Orange Switzerland and Romania will soon do so as well.
